headunit removal/installation guide
stock headunit removal
This section covers the removal of the stock headunit. As this deals with a part of the car's electronics that are constantly active, the battery must be disconnected. The alarm system is tied into the headunit, hence the blinking red LED. Disconnecting and reconnecting the headunit while it is receiving power could lead to short circuiting, or other similarly harmful results.
